About Ooty
Ooty (Udhagamandalam) is the main town of the Nilgiris district, at about 2,240 m. It has lakes, tea estates, the Government Botanical Garden and the Nilgiri Mountain Railway, the UNESCO-listed toy train that climbs from Mettupalayam through Coonoor to Ooty.
From Coimbatore the road runs through Mettupalayam and up the ghat section past Coonoor. Most families stay 2 or 3 days: one day for Ooty town, one for Coonoor and half a day for Doddabetta or Pykara. Our longer packages add Wayanad, Mysore or Munnar.

Ooty Lake
A man-made lake from 1824 with rowing and pedal boats.
Government Botanical Garden
Terraced gardens on the slopes of Doddabetta. The flower show is held here every May.
Doddabetta Peak
