    Morning darshan at Eachanari Vinayagar temple on the Pollachi road, then Perur Pateeswarar Temple. Late morning you drive west to the Isha Yoga Center for Dhyanalinga, Linga Bhairavi and the Adiyogi statue. In the afternoon you go up to Marudhamalai. We finish in town at Lakshmi Complex and Oppanakara Street, where the driver waits while you shop.

Places you will see

The Coimbatore Shiva statue most people mean is the 112-foot Adiyogi at the Isha Yoga Center. Isha's visitor information page puts the center about 30 km west of Coimbatore at the Velliangiri foothills and says the Adiyogi and Dhyanalinga premises are open 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.

For Dhyanalinga timings, Isha's daily schedule lists 6:00 am to 8:30 pm, while Linga Bhairavi closes from 1:20 pm to 4:20 pm. The same page asks for modest clothing that covers upper arms, thighs and ankles.

Marudhamalai is a Murugan temple on a granite hill of about 600 feet on the western edge of the city. The Coimbatore district page on Maruthamalai lists hours of 6 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 8 pm, with free general darshan.

₹1,500 to ₹4,400 per person. Your figure depends on the date, the vehicle and group size; the vehicle cost is shared, so a larger group pays less each. Tell us your date, pickup point and group size. A sedan takes 4, an Innova takes up to 7, and Tempo Travellers take 12 to 17. This is a full day with one car, not a call taxi in Coimbatore that ends at each drop.

How far is it from Coimbatore to Isha?

The Coimbatore to Isha Foundation distance is about 30 km west of the city, per Isha's visitor page. Allow about an hour each way in normal traffic.

Is this the same as the Adiyogi Shiva statue in Chikkaballapur?

No. There is a second Adiyogi near Chikkaballapur in Karnataka. This tour visits the Adiyogi statue in Coimbatore, at the Isha Yoga Center.

Which railway station is closest to the Adiyogi statue?

Most visitors arrive at Coimbatore Junction and we pick up there. Share your train time and coach number.

Can we add more stops near Isha?

Yes. The Velliangiri foothills and Poondi temple are close. Our Isha and Velliangiri day tour covers them.

Can we skip shopping or swap a temple?

What are your payment and cancellation terms?

A 30% advance confirms your trip, and the balance date is in your written quote. Cancel 15 days or more before the trip and we refund the full advance. From 14 to 3 days before, we refund half the advance. Within 2 days of the trip, the advance is not refunded.
