Which van do you need for your group size?

Count everyone who is travelling, then pick the smallest van with that many passenger seats, plus one or two spare if someone may join late. Our vans seat 10 to 18 passengers plus the driver. The table below lists every van we rent, its seat capacity and its rent per day and per km.

The last column divides the day rate by the number of seats. It leaves out km charges, but it shows why a fuller van works out cheaper per head. An 18 seater Tempo Traveller carrying 18 people costs less per person each day than a 12 seater carrying 12.

10 seater van rental

For 10 people you have two vans at ₹18 per km: the 10 seater Tempo Traveller at ₹3,000 a day and the 10 seater Force Urbania at ₹6,500 a day. The Tempo Traveller is the same van as our 12 seater, so you get 2 spare seats for bags or a late addition. The Urbania is the newer van.

15 seater van: what to book for 15 people

We do not have a van with exactly 15 seats. For 15 or 16 people, book the 17 seater Tempo Traveller at ₹3,500 a day or the 16 seater Urbania at ₹6,500 a day. A 14 seater is one seat short, and every passenger needs a seat of their own.

Mini van, big van, or something else?

When people search for a mini van or a small tourist van, they usually mean a 10 to 14 seater, which is where our ₹3,000 vans sit. For 19 to 21 people, the non-AC 21 seater coach van costs ₹4,500 a day, and bigger groups move to our bus rental page.

Van rent per day and per km: how the fare works

Every van has a day rate and a per km rate. You pay the day rate for each day you keep the van, plus the total kilometres driven multiplied by the per km rate. Toll and parking are added at actual cost. Before you confirm, we add it up for your route and send you one figure.

Worked example: a day trip to Ooty

Ooty is 89 km from Coimbatore by road, according to the Nilgiris district administration. There and back is about 178 km. Add sightseeing around Ooty and the day comes to about 220 km. Here is what each van would cost for that day:

With 14 people in a 14 seater Tempo Traveller, ₹6,960 comes to about ₹497 each. Fill an 18 seater and ₹8,340 works out to about ₹463 each. Your real figure depends on the stops you add, so send us the plan and we will price it.

The cheapest way to rent a van

The ₹3,000 vans have the lowest per km rate in our van fleet at ₹18, so they cost the least on long drives. The Urbania 12 and 16 seater charge ₹26 per km. Over 500 km that is ₹4,000 more than a ₹18 per km van, before the day rate. If price matters most, pick a 10, 12 or 14 seater Tempo Traveller.

Tempo Traveller or Urbania: which van to book?

Both are made by Force Motors. The Tempo Traveller is the van most groups book, from 10 to 18 seats at ₹3,000 to ₹3,500 a day. The Urbania is the newer, premium van. Every Urbania costs ₹6,500 a day.

For 14 people, the 14 seater Tempo Traveller costs ₹3,000 a day and the 14 seater Urbania ₹6,500 a day, both at ₹18 per km. For 17 or 18 people, only the Tempo Traveller has the seats. Luxury van rental in Coimbatore

If you want a luxury van for a wedding party, company guests or a family tour, book the 12 seater or 16 seater Urbania. Both have AC and a music system, and cost ₹6,500 a day and ₹26 per km. Groups book them for corporate delegations, destination weddings and airport pickups for VIP guests.

What is included in the van rental price?

Every van comes with our driver. You cannot rent one without a driver. The day rate and per km charge cover the van and the driver. The Tempo Travellers and the 12 and 16 seater Urbania have AC and a music system. Toll and parking are extra on every trip, paid at actual cost.
