Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1: Marudhamalai, Perur and Isha

    7:00 AM, Marudhamalai. The hill temple comes first, while it is cool. The Coimbatore district page on Marudhamalai temple lists it on a granite hill of about 600 feet, open 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with free general darshan.

    Late morning, Perur. Incredible India's Perur temple page dates this Shiva temple to Karikala Chola and lists morning hours until 1:00 PM, so we arrive before it closes. Lunch follows at a restaurant you pick.

    Afternoon, Isha Yoga Center. Time at Dhyanalinga, Linga Bhairavi and the 112-foot Adiyogi. Isha's visitor information lists Adiyogi Divya Darshanam, a 14-minute projection on the statue, daily at 7:00 PM, and we stay for it. Cover upper arms, thighs and ankles.

Marudhamalai is 14 km from Gandhipuram and Perur about 7 km from the city. The Coimbatore to Isha Yoga distance is about 30 km, per Isha's centre page. Coimbatore International Airport is the nearest airport to Adiyogi.

Is this the Adiyogi Chikkaballapur statue?

No. This tour visits the Adiyogi at the Isha Yoga Center near Coimbatore. The Chikkaballapur Adiyogi is in Karnataka, near Bengaluru, and we do not run trips there.

Which railway station is closest to Adiyogi?

For the Coimbatore Adiyogi, the main railhead is Coimbatore Junction, where we pick you up.

We only want Isha. Is this the right package?

How do payment and cancellation work?

A 30% advance confirms your trip, and the balance date is in your written quote. Cancel 15 days or more before the trip and we refund the full advance. From 14 to 3 days before, we refund half the advance. Within 2 days of the trip, the advance is not refunded.
